Martin Thompson's flair for art became apparent at the age of 8 when he won first prize in the drawing category of the Heineken Art award. He won a crate of beer. He went on to study Graphic Design at Camberwell before graduating from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Photography. He opened a portrait studio photographing actors and celebrities.

In the 80's his photographs regularly appeared in the iconic style magazines 'Blitz' and 'The Face' and for the next 30 years he produced work for a variety of clients such as Channel 4 and the BBC, The Tatler and TV Times.

Gradually his work began to decorate the walls of offices, clubs and homes.

He has recently moved to Dorset to paint, draw and occasionally drink a little beer.
